In the rugged Appalachian mountains, where coal mining is a way of life passed down through generations, Dale Rogers begins another graveyard shift...
Hello everyone! I take pride in my roots, having been raised in the Appalachian Mountains in the small coal town of Jenkins, KY. My father served in the USAF as a Vietnam Vet and later worked as a coal miner for nearly 20 years. My mother, an absolute angel, raised three rambunctious boys with immeasurable patience and love.
I am a graduate of Jenkins High School and Morehead State University. My family includes two children, Lindsay and Peyton, and four bonus children, Brayden, Channing, Joey, & Kaylie, with my wife, Nicole. We also share our home with four rescued pets.
My career journey has primarily been in law enforcement. It began in 1993 with the Kentucky State Police. After serving the Commonwealth at Post 6 Dry Ridge and Post 13 Hazard, I finished the last seven years with Executive Security in Frankfort under Governors Beshear and Bevin. I retired from the KSP in 2017.
Subsequently, I worked three years for the USPS before returning to law enforcement as a School Resource Officer for the Sheriff's Department in 2023. I wanted to provide an able body for the protection of those who cannot protect themselves against the evil that lurks in today's society.
I never seriously considered writing until lately, and now I'm excited for you to follow my journey. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate every moment of interest, even if it turns out not to be for you. Thank you for your support!
